Big Exciting Announcement!

Since my last post I have been busy editing my first book (only 20 pages to go!) along with writing the second book in the series. My favorite distraction from writing (besides reading other books and Netflix) has been building a social media presence in an attempt to market my work and engage with readers. After creating an Instagram account, I quickly discovered a network of fellow creative independent authors who support and inspire each other as we trudge through this unmapped land together. Inspired by the outreach I received an idea started brewing. What if we could get this information out to help aspiring writers? What if we could share our experiences? Tell our audience a bit about ourselves, for example, why we feel compelled to create at all. What if we could share our love of reading and writing with everyone? With that in mind, I, along with a couple of friends are starting a book club. In many ways it will be a traditional book club, where we choose a book and then discuss it while drinking copious amounts of wine. But we don’t just want a book club for ourselves, we want to share it with you. How do you join? By simply hitting subscribe. Our book club is going to be a Podcast! And much more than a Podcast! In addition to discussing popular main stream books we also want to highlight the indie authors in our community! Of course we will be reading their books, but in addition to reading I would love to interview these authors. Give them a platform to talk about themselves, their art, upcoming work, even read an excerpt! So ideally we’ll be accomplishing the following: Reading Awesome Books Allow readers to connect with their favorite authors Allow authors to discuss and promote their work I hope you’re as excited as I am about this new endeavor. The first book we are reading is What Alice Forgot by Liane Moriarty and it’s a good one! Pick it up, grab a drink, and join us soon as we discuss it!
